Here is one I am particularly proud of.

Graham Collier- the tribute and the Last Suites

I’ve added a new chapter to my autobiographical blog (see above left) dealing with the Tribute to Graham Collier at the London Jazz festival, and the recording of his last two suites.

Mr G.C. with Richard Michael

I wrote this piece shortly after Graham Collier, my friend, mentor maybe, and the guy who gave me my first chance on the big stage, passed away. It doesn’t sound like his music and isn’t supposed to, but I was thinking Mingus and Ellington, two great influences on Graham. This recording was made for BBC Radio Scotland and I’m playing with the fantastic pianist, Richard Michael.

This was my first and only appearance in a major film. I’m the flautist in the band (miming of course).
